TD1947 - Litter Bin Sensors (#REQ-4981)
implementation of sensor technology into litter bins on streets, parks and open spaces.
This will enable us with the capability to empty bins only when they need emptying. This will increase the efficiency of the service, cutting out unnecessary trips to bins when they do not require emptying or overflowing bins where we are not emptying them enough. This will have street scene improvements by reducing the amount of overflowing litter bins – and allow us to make intelligence led decisions where bins are situated.
