The weighbridge at Market Harborough is used to ensure operational highways vehicles utilising the depot at weighed correctly and are compliantly loaded for highway use, currently there are several elements that require replacement to ensure that this can continue to be used safely and effectively. We are seeking to direct award this requirement; we have been out to market and have tried to obtain additional quotes but because the hardware and software is provided by a single supplier we have been unable to find any other equipment that would be compatible retrospectively, as such the direct award provides assurance that we can ensure continued use of the weighbridge as cost effectively as possible.
